Our Story
Born from a Love of Hosting
RV Homestay began as many great things do — with a simple idea sparked by genuine passion. Our hosts, long-time residents of Nuwara Eliya, had always welcomed friends and family with open arms. Noticing that travelers who drifted into our cool highland town often struggled to find accommodation with real warmth and local character, the decision was made: to open our home to the world.
The name RV Homestay carries a personal meaning — initials that hold family significance. From the day we opened our doors, our goal was never to compete with hotels, but to offer something they simply cannot: the feeling of belonging somewhere.
Today, guests from across the globe have passed through our doors — from solo hikers discovering Horton Plains to honeymooning couples charmed by the lake views. Each one leaves carrying a piece of Nuwara Eliya with them — and we carry a piece of their story with us.
Our Hosting Philosophy
